Description:
Mount Lemmon is in the Santa Catalina Mountains located in the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson, Arizona. It is 9,157 feet above sea-level, and receives approximately 180 inches of snow annually making it home to the southernmost ski area in the United States.
Typically Mt Lemmon is around 30 degrees cooler than Tucson. There are hundred of miles of great hiking trails in this mountain range. This Sky Island boasts majestic pine, fir and aspen forests. At 9,154 feet, the sky ride offers panoramic views of forest, rocky cliffs, dessert floor and distant mountain ranges. The summit is only one hours drive from Tucson making it the perfect summer get away.
Hiking Tour Description:
Distance: 1 to 5 miles
Elevation Gain: 300 - 700 feet
Duration: 2 hours or 4 hours
Difficulty: Level 1 (Easy going) to Level 2 (Moderate)
-Surface trails relatively flat
